Sarah Ittmann Leite
The Alexander Technique is a mind and body re-education process, which restores poise of the body and improvement of posture.
During a lesson I will use the combination of my hands gently on your body and verbal directions to lead you to a new experience of how your body can move more easily. A deepening connection of this coupled with ease of breath will undo tension or pain that can accumulate from years of old injuries or hours of stooped posture in daily activities. In a series of lessons we can retrieve your optimum use by deepening an awareness of habit and creating new patterns of conscious use that you can later be retrieved on your own as you move through life with greater ease.
Sarah Ittmann Leite - Sarah is a graduate of AT MidAtlantic and teaches the Alexander Technique in Baltimore City. She is a current member the American Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) and is an AmSAT certified Alexander Technique teacher. Sarah teaches private and group lessons at Yoga Tree Top.
As well as teaching the Alexander Technique, Sarah is the owner and senior yoga teacher at Yoga Tree. She is a graduate of Maryland University of Integrative Health, a wife and a mother. During her Alexander Technique teacher training she focused on the Alexander Technique as a way to support the journey of pregnancy, childbirth and the early stages of parenthood. She has found that the Alexander Technique supports these roles and looks forward to working with more students who wish to uncover greater ease in their daily lives.
