The Art & Technique of Teaching Yoga

200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Baltimore Weekend Program

Learning something deeply and keeping it to ourselves is different than sharing what we know with another. By the end of this program, each trainee will have the knowledge and the confidence  to teach yoga. Become a certified yoga teacher as recognized by Yoga Alliance.

You already know how to do much of what you are embarking on. We will emphasize the art and technique of yoga, diving deeper into your practice in order to successfully lead alignment-focused and inspired vinyasa classes.

One year of previous yoga experience is preferred.

Yoga Tree’s 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training curriculum is founded on anatomy and physiology.
The Leads Instructors and Faculty have professional backgrounds that highlight both practical and medical approaches to the body in movement. Trainees will transform theoretical knowledge into embodied learning. Multiple teaching techniques and communication skills will be passed on to trainees; trainees will grow into skilled instructors with great ability to teach yoga students of all levels, shapes and movement backgrounds. A strong focus on technique, anatomy and physiology, will be paired with the study of breathework and yoga philosophy. Both will support each participant as they begin their journey as a certified yoga teacher.

Cadie Bridges-Palmer, E-RYT 200, YACEP
Lead Trainer
Cadie is an artist, an athlete, and a lover of music, food, and animals.

I was introduced to yoga around 1988, not knowing that yoga was a thing that people even did. During my decade of training as a competitive gymnast, a dance teacher offered yoga and meditation techniques to help us stay calm and focused during competitions.

As an adult, I came to yoga seeking a way to maintain my strength and flexibility, while being gentle on my damaged joints. After years of playing along to VHS tapes and DVDs, I was lucky to stumble upon the thriving wellness community in Baltimore. I have experienced nothing but benefits from a daily yoga and meditation practice. In order to share what I love, I completed Charm City Yoga’s Teacher-Training program in 2014. I have over 1000 hours of teaching under my belt, as well as hundreds of continuing education hours with notable teachers including David Garrigues (Ashtanga), Steve Pyka (Rocket), Jessie Kates (Yin), Patrick McCleaf (Rocket) and The BodyWise Institute (Trauma Informed Yoga). I am thrilled to call Yoga Tree my home.

I am inspired by all styles of yoga and meditation and am grounded by this practice. I encourage students to take what they learn about themselves in the studio and apply it to the world around them. It really is amazing what a few deep breaths can do for you.
